How it works

Numbers, not guesses

A blower door is a calibrated fan mounted in an exterior doorway. It pulls air out of the house to a standard test pressure of 50 pascals, then measures how much outside air leaks back in through gaps and cracks.

A duct leakage test pressurizes your duct system to measure how much air escapes before it reaches your rooms. We also take basic air quality readings during the visit.

Testing before and after insulation or duct sealing shows exactly what changed.

FAQ

Questions about blower door testing

Don't see yours? Call (940) 245-6139 and ask us directly.

How long does testing take?

Plan for a few hours, depending on the size of the home and which tests you choose.

What does ACH50 mean?

Air changes per hour at 50 pascals. It's how many times the air in your house is replaced each hour while the blower door holds the test pressure. Lower means a tighter house.

Do I have to hire you for the fixes?

No. The report is yours to keep whether you hire us or not.

Should I be home during the test?

It helps. We can show you leaks as we find them and walk you through the results at the end.
