How it works

Stop the sweat, hold the temperature

Bare metal panels heat up fast in the sun and cool off overnight. When warm, humid air hits a cold panel, water condenses and drips onto whatever's below.

Closed cell spray foam bonds directly to the panels and framing. It insulates and works as a vapor retarder, so moist air can't reach the cold metal.

Open cell foam can be an option in some buildings, depending on how the space is used and whether it's air conditioned. We'll recommend the right foam for yours.

R-7

Approximate R-value per inch of closed cell spray foam, which also works as a vapor retarder at typical thickness.

FAQ

Questions about shops and metal buildings

Don't see yours? Call (940) 245-6139 and ask us directly.

Open cell or closed cell for a metal building?

Closed cell is the usual choice because it stops condensation on the panels. Open cell can work in some conditioned buildings. We'll recommend one after we see the space.

Can you spray a building that's full of stuff?

Yes. We mask and cover equipment, vehicles and stored items, or ask you to move what can't be covered.

Do I need to stay out of the building?

Yes, while we spray and for the re-entry time the foam manufacturer sets. We'll give you the exact time for the product we use.
